Chapter History

Description: Kansas State University Golden Key members are not only dedicated students in the classroom, but extend their hard work to serving the Manhattan campus and community through leadership and service as well. The 22nd Golden Key chapter, KSU was chartered May 5th, 1981, as part of U.S. Region 6, which includes schools in Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.

Highlight: KSU Golden Key members come together from a wide variety of academic disciplines with the common goal of using their experiences and achievements to help promote literacy on the campus, community, and international levels. Our members participate in activities such as K-12 tutoring and book drives. Some of our honorary members include KSU President Kirk Schulz and KSU head football coach Bill Snyder. Our chapter is currently in Gold Standing for our service and outreach to new and honorary members. We extend membership to students in the top 15% of their class at Kansas State who show a desire to serve others in their community.
